Let’s take it back to the very first photoshoot I ever did, and honestly, I’m still so proud of it today. For
@kaltblut_magazine
At this point, I wasn’t even a makeup artist yet. I’d never made prosthetics before, and I’d never self-directed a shoot. Somehow, I was lucky enough to be put in touch with the incredible
@stephaniepearlphotography . I pitched my idea, she wholeheartedly believed in it, and together we began our “Or-Kids” journey.
Having never created prosthetics before, I immediately threw myself in at the deep end and attempted to create four otherworldly characters from scratch… only to quickly realise that making prosthetics is EXTREMELY hard 😭 In the end, I created three, which still feels so impressive to me, especially because prosthetics still intimidate me now.
This project means so much to me because it truly feels like the birth of my entire career, and it holds such a special place in my heart. I’m endlessly grateful to my collaborators: Steph, Wolfie, Anesu, my dad,
@paintedpeachuk and
@luciedoughty for helping bring this dream to life.
We also self-styled all the clothing! this dress was made by
