Here is a simple sweep picking pattern that moves through the diatonic 7th chord arpeggios of C# harmonic minor. Of course, the key can always be changed and the arpeggios can be played in a different order to get different sounds very easily.
I only use 3 strings here and use pull-offs to help give me time to change the pick direction. Sweeps don’t always have to be super hard to sound cool!
These can be played over any minor chord progression or riff, just listen and be mindful that certain notes or arpeggios might sound better to target or lean on and others might sound better in passing.
I didn’t put what the arpeggio names are in the TAB, but if you are curious just ask!

Here is a variation of Tuesday’s scale pattern (in D harmonic minor). I’m still repeating a Bb-A pull off on the 3rd string, but instead of walking up and down the scale in order I’m skipping in thirds. In other words, I play A on the first string then pull off Bb-A on the third, then play Bb on the first and Bb-A on the third. But then I skip down to G on the first then Bb-A on the third, etc.
Another way to think of it is that I’m playing this pattern high: A Bb G A F G E F, etc (up one, down a third), but inserting a Bb to A pull off in between each high note.

This is a fun way to build hybrid picking chops, scale knowledge, ear for counterpoint, creativity, and finger independence. I use hybrid picking to play one ascending octave and one descending octave at the same time. You’ll notice I do play the notes of each octave 1:1 except in a couple spots, which I play 2:1 just because it sounds better. This approach is called “contrary motion” and it’s a basic way for pianists to practice but I’ve never seen guitars do it. It can be applied to any scale or position and really challenges you to think about how to change your fingering to make it work.
I was very inspired by listening to Baroque musicians like Bach, whose bread and butter is intricate counterpoint.
