Yesterday was our annual Student Research Day at @macewanu !
We were proud to open the day with remarks from President Annette Trimbee, AVPR Dr. Craig Kuziemsky, SAMU VP Academic Chioma Uzor, and an opening prayer from Indigenous Knowledge Keeper Daphne Alexis. Their contributions set the tone for a meaningful celebration of student achievement, curiosity, and discovery, supported by the continued commitment of our executive leadership.
This year’s event saw increased participation and presentations, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for undergraduate research across campus.
It’s a privilege to witness the exceptional work of our students as they explore bold ideas, tackle complex questions, and contribute meaningful insights to their fields. The event showcased an incredible range of topics, from AI-driven healthcare research to innovative projects by our design students, as well as fascinating presentations on wildlife and environmental research.
The day also featured honours presentations and engaging panel discussions, creating space for dialogue, curiosity, and collaboration across disciplines.
Congratulations to all of our students for their outstanding work and contributions.
Events like this are a reflection of the dedication and mentorship of our faculty, whose commitment to teaching empowers students to push boundaries and pursue excellence. Together, they cultivate an environment where inquiry thrives and ideas take shape.
We look forward to seeing where their ideas and discoveries lead next.
