Celebrating Our Campus Partner! 🎉
Congratulations to Jodi-Anne Buckley on being honoured with the President’s Award for Outstanding Service in 2025!
Jodi is more than just a campus partner; she’s a genuine friend of the BSSC and a strong advocate for Black student success at McMaster. In her role as Manager of Co-Curricular & Student Engagement in the Faculty of Engineering, Jodi has played a key part in developing opportunities for Black students to excel.
Jodi’s impact is evident across our community, from founding the Black Outreach STEM Series (BOSS), which attracts students, to supporting the Black Excellence Graduation Celebration and developing programs that boost Black student representation in Engineering.
Her empathy, proactive leadership, and strong dedication to equity have transformed McMaster into a more welcoming and inclusive environment for Black students. She doesn’t merely discuss EDI; she actively constructs the frameworks, develops the programs, and cultivates the relationships necessary for genuine change.
