Eghe (Time)
The symbolism of time and us
I'm fascinated by the role of time in our voyage through loneliness. That's what I intend to understand via this piece.

The new love is one enriched with much passion. It make promises and sometimes these promises are far-reaching. It is a good thing. Aiming at the stars isn't always guarantee one must get there, but to at least leave the ground surface.
This young love is senseless. Maybe it's supposed to be so. That way, when logic starts to set in, it will already be too late because actions implanted by the love would have solidified it.
What's the relationship between love and time?

In this Eghe (time) series, I explored time from the perspective of love—a young one at that.
Is love automatic? Does it grow with time? What other influences are there in shaping it into its fully realised form? What is the actual role of time in love?
These are questions that kept welling up in my heart as I expressed the intimations on my canvas.

Absolution
This is a bridge between the Eghe (time) project I began last year and the start of a new one. I've learnt that absolute distinction isn't a necessity. It's all right if expressions and concepts intertwine. This is me being a child in the garden called creation.
Dimension: 27 by 26 inches
Medium: Oil and acrylic on canvas
Year: 2026.
