Cheers to 11 years! It’s with a lot of thoughtfulness, love and gratitude that I announce that mac & murphy is retiring from retail. These years have been the most life changing and it all happened within the four walls of this special place. I've made lifelong friends, created the most beautiful invitations, worked with designers and artists that inspired me, had THE most fun, learned more than I ever imagined, been in every dream magazine, and met some of the most interesting people walking through our front doors. When we opened up our adorable paper shop in 2009, we never thought it could become what it is today; a place that was built by two women who set out to bring back the art of writing and turned it into an internationally recognized brand. Mac & Murphy has loved being a part of this community and especially Cannon St. Truly the OG's of this neighborhood. We knew when our friends and clients walked into the shop they would walk away with a little bit more joy in their life - we always took so much pride in that. After the most rewarding and successful years for the shop, I made the decision in January of this year to focus on my life balance both personally and professionally. It was a decision rooted in grace, gratefulness and so much damn love. This is a celebration of what mac & murphy has meant to us and all of you as we wind down 11 years of our success. So as 2019 comes to an end, it is with so much pride that I thank this entire community both local and around the globe for your support of a dream that built a brand. My heart is bigger and more full because of every single one of you. I’m honored to have forever made a mark on the Charleston landscape. We will be open until Dec. 24 which means plenty of shopping days left and projects to complete. Come by to say hi, laugh a little bit and stock up on your favorite goodies!
