Music Events – But Which of the Three Categories…?
EPA debutant,
@Mac_Praed , who’s been a touring photographer with musicians since 2016, has entered a couple of cool sets into the three Music Events categories – Audiences, Concerts, Performers – with Remington of
@palayeroyale to the fore…
However, we made the point of moving a number of Mac's shots from one category to another. Indeed, we will always put a shot into the most appropriate class, so as to give it the best chance of succeeding, but it can be tricky at times – as was the case with a couple of Mac’s entries, as they include amazing shots of ‘Performers’ interacting with ‘Audiences’, sometimes in longer and wider shots of ‘Concerts’…!
If entrants are in any doubt about which category to put a shot into, the Categories channel of the EPA website is worth referencing (link in bio), or if you’re still stumped, you can always put a single shot into two categories, which is allowed and can be a fruitful tactic…
If you think any of Mac’s shots should be in a different category, we’d love to see your reasoning in the comments! But again, please be assured that our aim is to give every image entered into the competition the very best chance of getting long-listed, and then short-listed, and even award winning - which has happened more than once!
