New Moon Phases Calendar by The Winding Spiral & Artist Maayan Elyakim
We recently added this lovely hand-printed and marbled calendar to our collection. These prints are created using traditional paper marbling, employing natural pigments on cotton rag paper. Over the marbled base layer, two silkscreen layers are applied: black serves as a mask revealing the moon phases, while white denotes the months and dates. Each print is hand-marbled, hand printed and unique.

These works emerged from a series of technical tests I’ve made while developing the ceramic bookends/covers for Book of Spirals, created for the exhibition Game of Goose at the Neutra VDL House earlier this year.
Some of these experiments evolved into independent sculptures.
