Gutted is an understatement! It’s taken a few days to process this one, and it’s still stinging. I know I did everything right in the lead up to the @backdoor_nz King & Queen event and during it, but one mistake in the very last minute of the final, cost me a lot! Losing like that sucks big time 😂🙄 But it’s a surf comp 🤷🏼‍♀️ very grateful for the life I have and all the people in it. Looking forward to running a youth athlete Calm Under Pressure workshop this weekend with the man himself Dave Wood @integrated__training . We'll be working with young athletes on movement challenges, resilience, energy conservation and understanding the difference between normal training discomfort and injury pain. ACC can feel confusing, and many people delay care because they’re not sure if they “count.” If you’ve picked up an injury this summer — even one that seemed minor at first — ACC may contribute towards physiotherapy. An initial assessment isn’t about pressure or commitment. It’s about understanding what’s going on, what support may be available, and what your options are. ACC usually contributes to the cost of treatment, and most clinics (including ours) have a co-payment. Fees are always discussed clearly before you start.
