Wipe Patterns, commissioned by Amare Den Haag, is a vertical cinema work that synthesizes analog video signals with contemporary animation techniques to dynamically animate graphic forms. By employing advanced AI models, it generates an illusion of motion from static images, challenging traditional boundaries between stillness and movement. Wipe Patterns sits in-between the intersection of digital and analog processes, highlighting how algorithmic technologies can reinterpret static visual elements, thus reframing our perception of traditional animation techniques.
