Thank you so much, Sasha, for inviting us on this special tour.
The Renee & Chaim Gross Foundation @rcg_foundation was introduced to us through our love Lorenza recommendation and was on my family’s wish list. As the conclusion to our family adventure, this visit was truly meaningful and inspiring.
Sasha was so kind to share not only the Renee & Chaims’ unique character and humor, but also stories that touched us beyond the impression of their artworks.
Thank you so much, Charlotte -san @raymondfarmcenter , for welcoming us and sharing your family’s legacy. We had a chance to visit the Farm House of architect Antonin Raymond, who designed many significant works in Japan’s postwar reconstruction. Antonin and Noémi Raymond were like saviors — during the war, they invited the Nakashima family, who had been in a Japanese American internment camp, to New Hope, offering them a safe place to restart their lives.
Encounters in different parts of the world became life-saving experiences of friendship that taught me so much.

Thank you so much, Mira-san @nakashimawoodworkers , for welcoming us.
As a part of Japanese American family from Seattle, visiting Mira-san was one of the most meaningful purposes of our journey.
Both the Nakashima family and my grandfather’s family share a common history — they were interned at the Minidoka camp near Seattle during the war.
This time, together with my relatives, we were able to bring some of the records from that period. Even if the people who lived through those years found it too painful to speak about, we hope to gently unravel their memories and deepen our understanding.
This place holds deep meaning for us Nikkei families, as a pilgrimage site honoring Japanese American artists whose legacy continues to inspire the past and future generations.

The ceremony had been done few days ago, and today, visited my favorite church in Seattle, for Pray to my grandparents with mum @carolnobu + family relative @alanyamagiwa and Joyce. Thank you for the warm ceremony and the beautiful sky that made the moment special ✨

First time to visit Taiwan and visiting the place where Jiji-chan (grandpa) used to live in Daxi
Keep the address on my grandparent’s Love letters around 40's. The key to my adventure was to take copies of the loveletters 💌 and my Taiwanese BEST friends with me !
This is Daxi tea factory (大渓老茶廠) is where my grandpa used to work as factory manager !
Someone left an empty wineglass on top of the Casa Christo by #LuisBarragan , #guadalajara. It wasn’t me, was just found.
