I was looking at this portrait today and it took me back to when we first met… if I remember correctly, it was in Political Science class. Funny how some friendships begin in such ordinary places, not knowing the moments that will come later.

Dear Diary,
There’s a line from Shall We Dance that I haven’t been able to shake. It said, “Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go unwitnessed because I will be your witness.”
And it made me think about why God said, “It is not good that man should be alone.” — Genesis 2:18
Because life is made up of moments.
Moments that feel small while they’re happening, but later you realize they were everything.
And somehow, marriage is choosing to give someone front-row access to your entire life.
Not just the milestones.
But the random Tuesdays.
The versions of you that are still becoming.
It’s saying, I will see you through every season.
I will be there as your life unfolds.
I will not let your existence move through time without someone paying attention.
A few weeks ago, I watched two people step into that.
You could see it in the way they looked at each other. Like they understood the weight of what they were saying without needing to explain it.
And as I stood there with my camera, I realized something…
Photography, in its own way, is also witness.
It is standing still long enough to say, this happened.
This moment was real.
This love existed here.
Going back through these photos now feels like revisiting that promise. Freezing pieces of a day that will mean even more with time.
It was truly an honor to capture these moments.
