Looking at how design shapes our emotions, using lighting to enhance our wellbeing, application of colour to influence our behaviour and creating diverse spaces and settings with purpose where everyone can thrive.
In the ever-changing landscape, culture and divergences within our environments, M1NT Studio review on how these can be practically applied within our projects across all sectors.

We’re kicking off the New Year by showcasing some of our 2025 retail projects.
Merrell opened a new flagship store at the Cotswolds Designer Outlet last summer. Their second bricks and mortar store in the UK of high performance outdoor footwear and clothing.
As retail design experts we were further engaged to elevate the interior design and retail experience, following the success of Merrell’s debut store opening in Cannock in 2023.
M1NT Studio developed bespoke retail fixtures, a focal entrance display and high impact window displays for the store.
This flagship store also features a bespoke interactive ‘Get to know the area on foot’ board, offering Ordnance Survey hiking routes of the surrounding areas. Inspiring walkers to explore outdoors whilst boosting the local community.

This years @ciat.northwest conference did not disappoint!
Not only did we see good practice and projects from people across our region, but each speaker took us on a journey of discovery with an opportunity to make a difference in the built environment.
Sharing real lived experiences, challenging how neurodiversity in architecture can be more inclusive. The necessity for adaptive reuse of existing buildings shaping our communities, alongside modern and technical interventions. Preserving the future of our historic buildings through sensitive restoration. As well as state of the art new build facilities designed for longevity.
It was good to hear the positive directives from @ciatechnologist and learn the various routes of progression in becoming a fully Chartered Architectural Technologist.

Stunning morning last week for a site study tour of Buile Hill Mansion renovations with Women in Property.
Learning the history of this Grade II listed building built in early 1800’s. It’s current reinstatement of existing features together with modern interventions, bringing a future vision to life for a wedding venue with function rooms and landscaped gardens set in beautiful grounds in Salford’s Buile Hill Park.

A morning well spent at Ultimate’s Keighley showroom for the Scarlet Opus trend seminar.
Plenty of thought-provoking insight into where commercial interiors are heading. Stimulated by global forces and macro trends, exploring materials, colour, sensory design, and how inclusive thinking is shaping tomorrow’s workplaces.
For many teams, the way they use space has changed but the space itself hasn’t. Offices designed pre-2020 often no longer reflect how people actually work now. That’s where strategy-led design becomes essential.
It’s not just about how a space looks, it’s about how it works, and who it works for. From agile layouts and zoning to materials that support wellbeing. It’s the detail that makes the difference and the focus of our designs here at M1NT Studio.
