The Marching 💯 Alumni Band Association, Inc., is saddened to hear of the passing of our brother, Dr Richard Beckford. A phenomenal musician, talented arranger, gifted educator, former band director at Miami Carol City Senior High School & Blanche Ely High School, and dedicated director of bands at Florida Memorial University, he inspired countless students and musicians across the band world. His passion, discipline, and love for the art shaped lives far beyond the field and the classroom. His legacy will live on through every student he poured into, every band he uplifted, and every note played with excellence because of his influence. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his immediate family and all who loved him. Rest in power, my brother. Your impact will never be forgotten.🧡💚🐍💯🎶💔🙏🏿

Greetings! Forty years ago, the Incomparable Marching 100 made history as the first (and only) HBCU band to receive the prestigious Sudler Trophy, the highest honor a collegiate marching band can achieve. This milestone was not just an award—it was a global recognition of our innovation, precision, musicianship, and showmanship. As we celebrate this 40th Anniversary, we honor every band member, band director, and supporter who helped build the legacy of excellence that continues to inspire generations. From Dr. William P. Foster’s visionary leadership to the countless performances that have left audiences in awe, the Marching 100 remains the standard of musical brilliance. Let us come together — alumni, current members, and supporters — to remember our journey, uplift our traditions, and look ahead to an even brighter future for the Incomparable Marching 100.
