Can’t stand living p much normal while we collective fail the global/indigenous/incarcerated resistance fighters despite our massive power and privilege and responsibility from within the empire? Let’s talk about it :) Last day to RSVP for our first IRL meetup in “NYC” this coming Saturday, Nov. 2nd, 1-4pm! Negative COVID test and N95 or KN95 masks are required to attend. We’re holding this gathering in hopes of grounding and sharing, in conversation and embodied presence, all the ideas, actions, desires, and insights that have brought us together. The overall disorganization and tameness of our ant! - j3 n o s!d 3@1 efforts has resulted in a continuation and expansion of the violence that brought us to efforts like researching and frwding tax resistance, as well as our Dispatch initiative. But this is just a small piece of the struggle. The enemy at hand is and always has been the j3 n 0 s! d a1 project of the “usa”/ ‘global north’ so where and how can we step up, become stronger and more effective together? How do we build popular power to a point we actually challenge and stop oppressive forces, versus simply dissenting, opposing, criticizing—playing defense? What can we learn from this past year? from all of our collective experiences and lessons in this struggle? Some guiding words from the brilliant George L. Jackson: “Settle your quarrels, come together, understand the reality of our situation, understand that fascism is already here, that people are already dying who could be saved, that generations more will live poor butchered half-lives if you fail to act. Do what must be done, discover your humanity and your love in revolution.” Link in bio for RSVP form where you can also find more details on the event, the movement workshop, and what to expect. Thank you @the_living_gallery for hosting us! Looking forward to connecting with all y’all (:

As we continue to witness genocide in g@za , mass displacement in Sudan, never before seen hurricanes, cop cities, another sham presidential election…it’s increasingly urgent to hone in our politics and the politics of those around us. The fascist/tech/climate crises are here, even if we may feel safe from them from our corner of the world. We must habitually practice our political values so that we can respond not from a place of reaction or emotion but have a sturdy base on which to stand, from which to think critically, act creatively and effectively. Learning to grow away from liberalism is life’s work, especially since it promises false comfort. We are all guilty of at least one, (and definitely more) of these.  We invite you to use this like a worksheet:  -Where am I at?  -What can I do better?  -What can I ask my loved ones to do better? Practice criticism, self criticism. Inspired by Mao’s “Combating Liberalism,” adjusted to better align with where we stand Alt text: Slide one: Introduction to 50 Shades of Liberalism. Explanation of scale. Slide two: Numbered list of liberal tendencies begins. Slide three: List continues. Slide four: List continues. Slide five: List continues. Slide six: List of questions to further articulate connection between political mindset and behavior. All text in comments.

FR À SUIVRE ABOUT For this edition of T-Picnic, we’ve teamed up with Dick’s Lending Library! In addition to the usual hanging, chatting, and snacking, we’re hosting a pop-up library and a workshop facilitated by @m.a.d.dispatch . All are welcome to participate! The workshop, which will run from 3:00-4:15 pm, will include alignment, movement, and breathing exercises to support a somatic journaling activity. Through guided and exploratory movement activities, we’ll think through a series of questions on accountability, loss, anger, grief, care, and practices of freedom so as to better ground ourselves as we work towards collective liberation. INFO * When: July 21st, 2024 * Time: 1-6 PM * Where: Saint-Édouard Park * Workshop: 3-4:15 PM PICNIC INFO * Bring your own lunch or (labeled) food that you want to share. Some food will be provided, you don’t have to bring anything to attend. * We welcome you to bring blankets, water, snacks, headphones and things that make you feel comfortable. * We invite you to bring park games, activities and projects (i.e. frisbee, soccer balls, card games). * There will be a blanket area with books and art materials. * Movement and rest are super welcome. * If you are coming alone or wondering if you’ll have anyone to chat or sit with, you do! Find one of us organisers (Ess, Tobie, or Sab). We want to meet you 🙂 (smiley face emoji) COVID * We are in a covid surge and covid spreads outdoors. Please distance and handle food safely. * Space out your picnic blankets so it’s easy for people to move around, to reduce virus transmission, and to take up a lot of park space. * KN95 or better masks are required when not eating or drinking. We ask that when you do take off your mask, you are at least 6 feet away (i.e. on your own blanket or seat). N95 grade masks will be provided. * We encourage participants to test before attending the event. @covid_action_now provides free covid rapid tests and masks at different locations in the city. Visit: www.linktr.ee/covid_action_now * Any person experiencing COVID-19 or cold symptoms should not attend the event. Continued in comments.

(Repost from @m.a.d.dispatch ) Let’s imagine for a moment what we could fund instead of genocide. This is your reminder that poverty is a man-made problem. Today, 17 million people in the USA are food insecure. Homelessness has reached record highs. Nearly a third of Americans owe at least $500 in medical debt. Poverty is a political weapon. Our earth has enough for all of us and the ingenuity of the human race is extraordinary. We could have ANY reality…but the ruling class chose credit scores and genocide. Enough is enough. Join us to demand divestment from death and investment in life. #stopthegenocide #endthesiege #freepalestine #disclosedivest #investinourcommunities #divestfromdeath #investinlife

we cannot resist the state without supporting each other to fulfill our needs. Mutual Aid Dispatch (M.A.D.) acts as a dispatch to connect folks to mutual aid resources. here’s another more detailed guide for how to use and navigate M.A.D. - link in the linktree, and join our Telegram channel to ask questions or make requests.
