So, I read through the main story update “To Our Yesterday” and as much as interesting it was, I have some concerns and strong feelings about it. I didn’t talk about my personal preference because I simply wanted to provide an unbiased analysis, but if you guys would like to know about my preferred way, let me know and I’ll make a video about it! The reason why I said that I started side eyeing this from Long Awaited Reverly is because of the glimpses of the past - rule of thumb in otome games genre is whatever moment one character has, all of the remaining ones are going to have these too eventually. Sylus was the first character with whom we actually saw past flashbacks, so it was only the matter of time for the rest. Newest update showed us Xavier’s and Rafayel’s myths past and affection, just like Death and Rebirth showed mix of the past and affection. Breaking my silence 😔 Quite often fandom space is a really fun space to be, but sometimes some really unnecessary drama occurs that invades safely built bubbles that makes even most thoughtful people feel uneasy. Dear devs, I absolutely love what you are doing, but things are getting out of hand. Chocolate & lunar shops haven’t been updated in the longest time, Sylus & Caleb to this day don’t have their base content — we are missing second bounds and anecdotes. Main story twice a year? Really? All the reruns (promise cards and packs) costing almost double of the original price? Lingering Lust promotional campaign and videos in Love and Deepspace I think really broke the internet — it generated several million views across various platforms and videos and in this video I explain my take on what makes it work, why it is so special and what was the outcome. Darkbound Souls from the most recent Lingering Lust banner have left a lot of people wondering, why did we see him do what he did. Some even saying that this is out of character, which I highly disagree on. Since his very first appereance his character made it 100% clear that this is what we can expect from their dynamic. His first solo card No Defense Zone had a riding crop and a collar. Bunch of his promo materials have typical B D S M items, his low affinity gift was a necklace with handcuffs and MC cuffs him in their bond. His official cosplayers were given whips for interaction events. You can’t make it even more obvious, other than spelling actual letters. So I was not surprised at all. I am honestly actually shocked that there are people who think it somehow is a mischaracterization. If anything, if somebody feels icky about it (it’s absolutely fine if it’s not their cup of tea it’s just that it doesn’t fit THEIR idea of the character and what they imagined him to be over time. It all fits and is very expectant not only from him, but from MC too. It’s really important to look at the outcome — two people in love, devoted to each other having a great time together and that’s what matters. I’ve heard so many people give such a positive feedback about this card, as well as some saying this really helps them to learn more about themselves and their desires and that’s what fiction is for!
