twelve years 🎉
2013: that first batch was so tiny it could barely be called a batch; 30 bottles or so, poured with a pitcher & a funnel, labeled with extreme excitement, and sold to the handful of curious locals and visitors that wandered in. i knew we were making history, but i never could've predicted what would follow >> hundreds of thousands of bottles made from 🇺🇸 sugarcane, endless advocacy to change antiquated laws and regulations, accolades & awards 🥇, exciting expansions & unforeseen challenges, and over a dozen years of delighting & surprising everyone we meet with a stellar rum experience ✨
i am incredibly proud that every drop of LYON RUM is still 💯 cane-to-glass, and still made in ridiculously small batches, by an eternally changing, but always remarkable crew, who infuses everything with passion, love & dedication here in saint michaels 💪
