It’s so good seeing Christchurch Otautahi so vibrant, after a long recovery after the 2011 earthquakes.
It felt for so long that our inner city was a lot of car parks. 🤣
Now we have so many new facilities.
And there are so many events and places to go to once again.
Our One.NZ Stadium, the land beneath it Te Kaha means the strength: our new central library, Turangi, meaning a stopping place: our new convention centre, Te Pae, meaning a gathering place: our new Court Theatre, our new Recreation centre, Parakiore, honouring the youngest son of Turakautahi, the renowned Ngai Tahu rangatira chief. He was known for his incredible speed, strength and agility.
Then there are the much loved places that got beautifully restored like the Isaac Theatre Royal, established in 1908. An Edwardian heritage building that seats over 1000. She’s a grand old lady.
And our Christchurch Town Hall, designed by Warren and Mahoney, it is a renowned Brutalist style landmark celebrated for its world class acoustics.
I love going to shows and performances at all these places, supporting local and international arts and culture.
Just a grateful heart today for my city - it has gone through a lot in the last 15 years.
It is my land, that I am connected to. It grounds me and inspires me.

I am so grateful for 2025.
2025 was a year of new beginnings, reconnecting, honouring myself and letting go of anything that did not bring me joy or peace.
2025 I started a degree to become a counsellor but once I understood me more, I actually didn’t want to be a counsellor. So I stopped. A divine 6 months, & I met some beautiful humans. I got to do the family tree for the kids - treasure ⭐️
I’m back doing what I love - story producing / editing. 🎬 Been 42 years! ⭐️

2025 was a year of complete circles.
3 years ago I walked away from a lucrative one year contract because of one persons toxic behaviour. I made a decision to honour myself, not put up with it. I had to let it go. And trust.
That person revealed themselves over time, having their contract terminated.
I do trust everything unfolds. The connection and opportunity with the company has come around again, even more meaningful.
2026 is full and the projects ahead are going to be challenging & incredible. I’m honoured that I’ve been asked to do them. 🙏🏼

2025 was a year where I started volunteering at the local library. It’s such a joy. I love it. 📚 and everything is done manually, not on computer. It’s so fun to write on the cards and use stamps.I’m surprised how many older women love crime and thrillers 😂

2025 I planted cucumbers 🥒 cabbages, broccoli 🥦 & cauliflower for the first time!

2025 was the year I decided to have my own Santa 🎅 Grotto outside. Every night it lights up. I will add to it every year I am sure 😂

2025 was the year that I fully experienced the JOY of being a Nan Nan. I call Mila-Rose a joy germ because she really does spread joy.

2025 my nephew Lloyd went on a detective hunt to find out what happened to a boat that Dad built and it lead him to Wanaka museum. They’ve had it 25 years - definitely an emotional discovery for us 🥹
🖤 I truly believe what is meant for you will not pass you by.
