Detours follows the daily life of a ride share driver and the passengers who use the service.
Julie Santiago, played by Cassandra Fowler, notices a hostage situation unfolding in a car nearby and asks the passengers to be in charge of remembering the license plate of the other car. Things unravel for the driver of the other vehicle when the college students mistakenly recall the license plate number and further issues arise when the police have it all backwards.

I have a confession to make:
I used to be the girl in the link Iโll add to my story. It goes with this imagery, so go, scope it out!
I used to be the girl who hated photos being taken of her. I used to hate documentation because it was emotionless. I think thatโs what I bring to the camera, be it in front of or behind the lens.
I am grateful for so many things and people, the ability to live and create art with all of those with whom I can. Now I understand how photography can connect us - to ourselves, to each other, to nature, for nourishment. I have so many more thoughts but no more time for now. I pray those who see this happen upon a miracle in their lives and find themselves at peace.

These images are self portraits, using an interval timer and rather fun Dutch Angle positioning. My cropping choice on IG was intentional, but works well here.
Notice how coloring can offer a clear emotional charge to the portraits Iโve captured? Using cooler colors and deeper contrast as well as raising the value of the blacks impart a cooler, darker mood than the more golden image that comes last. Connection often demands warmth naturally when Iโm editing but occasionally I am offered a couple who can powerfully portray both sides of the spectrum.
The purpose of my existence is make you question everything you believe in.
