When the Big Game comes to town, the city's pulse shifts. In just one week, riders in San Francisco turned to Bay Wheels in record numbers to get where they needed to go 🚴
The numbers tell the story: more than 87,000 ebike trips, +23,000 casual riders, and a Google Gemini collaboration that gave riders a new reason to try an ebike for the first time. This high ridership week wasn't just a reflection of the event. It was a proof point that major events and bikeshare are a natural fit.

Multi-jurisdictional bikeshare is booming 🚴♀️
Since 2018, LUS-operated multi-jurisdictional systems have grown from 13 to 32 jurisdictions across seven states. Ebikes are a big part of the story, now accounting, for example, for 63% of all Capital Bikeshare rides.

Major news for @mibicipublica in Guadalajara! 🚲
AMIM, Guadalajara's Metropolitan Agency of Infrastructure Services for Mobility, has awarded Lyft Urban Solutions a contract to bring electric bikes to @mibicipublica , one of Latin America's most successful bikeshare systems. Delivered in partnership with BKT Bici Pública, this expansion will introduce electric assistance to a system that has, until now, operated exclusively with pedal bikes.
The upgrade includes:
🚲 960 Lyft Astro electric bikes
⚡ In-dock charging infrastructure with 1,900 docking points
📱 New rider mobile app with Apple Pay and Google Pay
📈 Extended service into new neighborhoods
Rolling out ahead of Guadalajara’s hosting of the biggest tournament of the year, the expansion will grow Mi Bici to 470 stations and 5,000+ bikes, making cycling more accessible for residents and visitors while supporting Guadalajara's sustainability and mobility goals.

Happy 1-year anniversary to Bizi! 🎉
As Zaragoza’s Bizi system celebrates its first year of operation, launched in January 2025, it also marks an impressive milestone of over 6.5 million rides, powered by a 100% electric fleet of 2,500 e-bikes and 276 stations.
At peak performance, the system averaged 13.3 trips per bike per day, highlighting strong adoption and daily use by residents and tourists.

We’ve kicked off our Citi Bike expansion in New York City!
In collaboration with the NYC Department of Transportation, 250 new stations and 2,900 additional bikes – about half of them ebikes – will be deployed across the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens, extending Citi Bike access to 900,000 more New Yorkers.
This rollout features our Lyft Pillar dock, designed for reliability, modularity, and sustainability. Highlights include: 🔐 An innovative locking mechanism that creates a smooth and effortless docking experience 🧩 A modular design for flexible station deployment and reduced operational costs
🌱 Solar panels for very low power consumption
With this expansion, Citi Bike will grow to over 36,000 bikes and 2,400 stations, nearly seven times its original 2013 footprint.
