Hi everyone, I just wanted to share that I am looking for submissions for the first digital publication of the 8bit Photo Journal! And it’s completely FREE to join!
I have been working with 8bit media for just over a year now and I have fallen in love with it as a way of displaying and sharing photos. I find 8bit lends a level of abstraction to a photograph while also cutting away distractions and allowing you to focus on composition and light in a very simple form.
I now want to welcome everyone who is interested to join me in celebrating the joys of the 8bit image!
For those unsure about how to take an 8bit image don’t worry, you can take a normal photograph and then convert it into 8bits. Any photo can become 8bits! I use the site / to convert images into 8bits.
The resulting photography journal will be a digitally published on itch.io in a variety of formats that can be viewed on multiple platforms including Gameboy Color/Advanced, DS, 2DS/3DS, iPhone, Android, PC, internet browsers and more! If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment under this post ⁉️
