Do you enjoy singing? Want to be part of a growing, dedicated choir? Or maybe you know someone who does? Our choristers range in age from early 20s to late 80s, singing a repertoire that moves from traditional Welsh songs through classical music and musicals to popular hits and new compositions. Being a member of London Welsh Male Voice Choir is more than just rehearsing on a Thursday and singing in concerts. It is a community - a diverse family that comes together to celebrate the joy of music. And while we have a very strong Welsh base, we welcome singers of all backgrounds with choristers from Australia, Ukraine, Uruguay, even England 😉... [Communal singing has also been shown to have numerous benefits for both our mental and physical health] We also get to sing in some pretty cool places (Principality Stadium, Stonehenge, the Royal Albert Hall...) We have a big year ahead of us with some exciting events, including the return of the London Welsh Festival. So what are you waiting for? If you're interested in joining, send us a message and come along to a rehearsal on a Thursday evening at the London Welsh Centre to find out more! #choir #choralmusic #malechoir #londonwelsh #malevoicechoir #choirmusic #livemusic #singing #london #cormeibion #CymryLlundain #cymry #llundain #welsh #london

What an extraordinary performance by the London Welsh Male Voice Choir, accompanied by Annabel Thwaite, at a packed St Mary's Church, Reigate. With guests, the Jones Family Quartet, including youngsters Emma and Toby, it was most definitely an evening to remember. 🎶❤️ A huge thank you to all the wonderful performers and to choir member, Alun Edwards for inviting us. (I couldn't resist taking a quick pic just after the interval when the gentlemen slipped off their famous red jackets before launching into....'Ride the Chariot'.) The concert was in support of the magnificent work that Stripey Stork do in our community which was brilliant and thank you to EVERY volunteer, superbly represented by Millie in the photo, who make such a contribution to their endeavour. ❤️🙏👏👏👏 Please do take a look where the choir will be performing in the near future, including a very special event at the Royal Albert Hall 😀👍

Founded in 1902, the London Welsh Male Voice Choir has carried Welsh song into the heart of London for over a century. From early success at the Mountain Ash Eisteddfod to performances at the Royal Albert Hall and the 2012 London Olympic Games, its voice has travelled far. 🎶 Today, around one hundred members meet each week at the London Welsh Centre. It’s a place of music, friendship and belonging, where Welsh traditions continue to evolve through new collaborations and modern songs. Read the article at the link in bio. #Cymu #Wales #LondonWelshMaleVoiceChoir 📸 Ian Stratton

For us as a choir, the celebrations this past weekend weren't just about St David, the Patron Saint of Wales, but also the choir career of cherished Top Tenor and Grandfather of the LWMVC, Geraint Lewis. On Saturday, Geraint performed in his final concert with us at the age of 90 after 55 years in the famous Red Jacket. His career with the choir has been an illustrious one. As well as serving as Top Tenor Rep, sitting on various subcommittees and organising the 1976 London Welsh Festival of Male Choirs, Geraint served as Choir Chairman on two occasions, from '85 to '86 & from '04 to '06. Amongst all this, he also on occasion somehow found the time to sing with the Dragonnaires (the London Welsh Barbershop group) and the London Welsh Rugby Club Choir. For many years, Geraint was the principal Tenor soloist for the choir, including on our tour of the USA in 1982, and, as such, it was fitting that he performed a duet with current Chairman and dear friend, Lib, and the choir last Saturday. It's also heart-warming that his final concert took place at the @londonwelshccll , home of LWMVC and the place he met his wife so many years ago. Thank you Geraint for sharing your voice and your music with us and the entire London Welsh community for so long. We hope you will join with us in wishing him a very much deserved choir retirement. Diolch o galon Geraint!

The brilliant London Welsh Male Voice Choir will be performing at Oasis Waterloo on Saturday March 28th. This is will probably be the last time to see them in London before their sold out concert at The Royal Hall later this year. Come along for an evening of uplifting and moving music.
