Dec 2023, San Diego - Tone, my sister, and I spent the day at Balboa Park going to museums and walking through botanical gardens. With my sister living across the country, it felt like such a treat to be able to spend some serious quality time with her where she could also get to know Tony. I feel pretty lucky that the two of them share a lot of the same nerdy interests and get along swimmingly. We spent hours in the air and space museum goofing off and being wildly impressed by my aeronautics-engineer-sister. I loved this day!
How incredibly lucky I am to go through this life with this guy? This life with its peaks and valleys, tears of joy, and also grief, adventures with go-go-go, and days where we sit. We bicker and fight, we laugh and goof, we press all sorts of buttons. Iām so grateful for Tony and all of his love. So grateful to be celebrating 2 years married. So grateful for our home together in these mountains. š
How appropriate that the birthday of the man who has fully eclipsed my heart would be celebrating his 33rd on the day of the eclipse. Heās a real gentle soul, a man who loves serving up a breakfast in bed, a casual hunk, a passionate culinary purist, and a partner who is as loyal as a dog.
