HELLO EVERYONE ๐ฆโโฌ
Iโm delighted to share with you my sound collage created for the third edition of Chute Open, curated as the final piece of the Cine-Biology selection.
Birds of Den Haag is a 20-minute sound piece composed of recordings from the forests of Den Haag, where I spent time between mid-March and the first week of May. It features the calls of 24 different bird species, ambient sounds from my walking routes, wind, water, and the sometimes-working, sometimes-malfunctioning sounds of a mechanical bird toy.
I created this piece at a time when I felt closely connected to the vibrant yet intense cycles of birds-full of joy and chirping, but also struggle, tension, alertness, and raw wilderness. With this work, I wanted to bring Cine-Biology to a close through a soundscape that captures that energy.
Endless love to all the birds who accompanied me through the forest walks during these months.

As our archive of publications grows, we want to revisit them in a different manner. Our own little version of a tbt? ๐
As an extension of the essays on the website, each member of the collective curates a film list of works that come to mind while reading the text, tracing the associations and connections it evokes.
In response to Klaus Wybornyโs ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ฆ๐ด ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ท๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ท๐ฆ ๐๐ช๐ญ๐ฎ, which was published in recent months, @luwonuor has prepared a personal list.

To accompany the films of David Wojnarowicz, our dear friends of the @chills___quills collective will design and publish a unique film catalog.
This project aims to draw attention to the extreme rise of anti-queer propaganda and violence in recent years, with a special focus on the events that have been unfolding in Turkey.
Big THANK YOU to everyone that made this possible @wojfound@ppowgallery@electronicartsintermix@chills___quills !๐ฅ
