From Ho Chi Minh City, designer Nguyệt Dương explores the mythology of the female warrior in Héroïne. Drawing inspiration from Jeanne d’Arc as a symbol of faith, strength, and sacrifice, the collection reframes historical armor through a contemporary fashion lens. Protective structures evolve into sculptural silhouettes, banners become visual surfaces, and memories of battle translate into layered textures across the garments. At the center of the work is a compelling paradox: a fragile woman encased in rigid armor. Through contrasting materials and experimental construction, the pieces shift clothing beyond function, imagining garments as symbolic armor where body, history, and art intersect.
