Moderated by Sony Pictures Television’s own Marie Jacobson (thank you, Marie!), the discussion centered on a case study of the music behind SPT’s critically acclaimed Netflix series, BOOTS. I was joined by the show’s Music Supervisor, Sarah Bromberg, and Composer, Jongnic Bontemps, as we explored how music—when thoughtfully executed—becomes an essential driver of storytelling.

I am honoured/honored to be named as one of Canada’s Global Executives. This designation was awarded to me by the Senior Trade Commissioner at the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles.
This is a recognition of my role as an unpaid strategic advisor to Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service and Canadian companies in the local market. I will be working closely with Canadian consulate employees for Canadian companies and talent that are exploring and expanding in this market. As a member of Canada’s Global Execituves, I am part of a global network with ties to Canada that supports Canadian companies and talent in finding success abroad.
Having worked with Canadian talent in the entertainment sector for over two decades, I look forward to continuing to strengthen relationships between creatives and providing mentorship to those in our industry from Canada.

At last, I can share our CFA Class of 2025! For the jury, Year 3 was our most challenging as the number of candidates was the largest applicant pool yet…and an extremely strong group of applicants. To give you a feel - the applicant to acceptance ratio this year was similar to getting into an elite Ivy League university. Our jurors included a broad range of representation of both peers and those who make hiring decisions: studio executives, music supervisors, top tier musicians/orchestrators/composers, an agent/manager and a film director.
The 12 chosen are a remarkable group from around the world (spanning 4 continents), with diverse cultural and personal backgrounds.
Coursework begins this Sunday on line and concludes in Vancouver as part of the Vancouver International Film Festival, with recording sessions at The Warehouse Studio and featuring the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
Congratulations to the 2025 CFA composers; we look forward to having you on this educational journey!
