On this day 2 years ago @jaiamore and I had our “New Life Ceremony”for our baby girl.🥰💕🫶🏾
My chosen sister @cyndiaharvey was “project manager” and arranged everything with my incredible sisters @dionnesmith7 , @michelle_alecia_s , @eloisebc_ and my beautiful niece @sharisoul._ . it was hilariously and beautifully hosted by @thesabrinagrant another chosen sister of mine. Our beautiful friends and family came together to celebrate this new life being brought into the world and US…we had great chats, ate, laughed and played (very competitive) games 😂. My darling @stelar_rey was initially hosting but had just landed a new incredible gig! So it was so beautiful when she came in between her rehearsals to surprise us (I love you babe) 💜💜
We had no idea at this point that in just over a month, when our baby girl would make a very dramatic entrance to the world, that life was about to take on a whole new meaning and our vantage point was going to increase and grow tremendously. This day was an amazing memory to joyously mark this transitional period. It’s so important to celebrate our lives, and the moments that make life what it is, we’re so grateful to everyone of you that made this day happen. ✨🫶🏾😘
I am forever and always grateful. 🥰🥰

I absolutely love music, singing and performing with all my heart! ✨💛 There is something that takes over my body and spirit when I’m performing and especially when it’s with incredibly talented and warm hearted people!

I love living and everything that comes with this life journey! The people, the love, the singing, the music, the food, the adventures, the Joy, the LOVE (again), the successes, the failures (reframe: lessons), the laughter!!! Soooo much laughter. If I had to choose one or two, or three (lol) things to do for the rest of my life it would be to Love, to Sing and to Laugh!! (Forget the logic of needing to eat or anything else the logical brain may think of).

Life keeps reminding me to have patience and grace with myself and any and everything I am doing, and that DONE is better than PERFECT! (and let’s be honest, perfect is an illusion anyway). Although I will always aim to do everything to the best of my ability, I will also just get on with it and have a great (and sometimes frustrating, lol) time along the way! 🤸🏽
It’s just a bit of work….and I am happy to do the work no matter how long it takes!
Even this video being this long is me just saying “do the thing and improve along the way!” I know it would be possibly be better if it were split up into 1000 10 second videos to capture all the attention known to humanity, but I just wanted to post the whole thing! So I did! lol 🤷🏾♀️
