“Et Liv” is without a doubt the most ambitious film I’ve made. I mean a film set in an airport is always going to be challenging… but when drones last fall shut down all national airports and filming was banned with no timeline in sight, it felt almost impossible to make this film. But I was born very stubborn, and luckily I’m surrounded by people just as determined. So we kept pushing, calling people, and trying to find solutions. And after a true rollercoaster of pre-production, we finally made it happen!!! My heart is full of excitement, and deep gratitude for every single person who believed in this project and stood by us. You made the film a reality 🤍✨ Photo credit: @ceirnods @lisaotto.dk #bts #etliv #shortfilm❣️

PERNILLE LUND X VERDENS SKOVE “An hour after pitching the idea to Verdens Skove, they wrote back: ‘We’re in – what’s the next step?’” That’s how director @lund_p describes the beginning of Naturens Dirigenter. Two years ago, the idea was nominated at Young Directors Award. Now it has been brought to life - a poetic film about children who discover they can conduct nature like an orchestra. But nature, tired of being controlled by humans, suddenly falls silent. “My pitch was actually quite simple,” says Pernille. “Children conducting nature as an orchestra. Seeing nature through a child’s eyes - full of play, colour and magic - and making it a place they would want to protect later in life.” Instead of dramatic disaster imagery, the creative direction was intentional: show what is still worth protecting. Together with cinematographer @tobiashorvath_dp , Pernille portrayed the forest at its most beautiful and poetic, supported by carefully crafted, authentic sound design. “In a time where the wild, fast and sensational wins attention, this film is deliberately the opposite,” she says. “It’s slower and longer than most experts would recommend. But that’s okay. The goal is to make people put their screens down and step into nature.” Produced by @u_got_film in collaboration with @verdensskove . Children can see and hear things that adults can’t. Where we only see trees, they see a living world full of stories, music, and magic. That’s why we’re proud to now present “Nature’s Conductors” about a group of children who discover that they can make nature play music and conduct it like an orchestra. At Forests of the World, we work to protect nature and preserve the magic of forests for future generations.

“Natten er så stille” has been nominated for two Ekko Shortlist Awards. The Audience Award and The Shortlist Award 🙌💖 Inspired by my grandparents’ love story during World War II, the film tells how my grandfather risked his life to retrieve a parachute from a downed British plane, and how that parachute later became my grandmother’s wedding dress. This nomination feels extra special because it means the story has reached people. ❤️ Huge thanks to the cast and crew who brought this film to life with such heart and dedication. 👉 And please vote for the film via the link in bio - It would mean the world to us.

“This project holds the power to shift our blind spots in the privileged part of the world. The pitch presented us with a clear stage and a vivid framework with the potential to become a gripping and profoundly moving story, perfectly suited for the shortfilm format.” Wow… yesterday my short film idea “Et Liv” won Special Mention at OFF Awards 2025 in the Pitch Me Baby category 🏆 The story is based on my own experiences about what happens when the person you love is regarded as a threat.
And despite nerves and tech issues during the pitch, I’m so thankful the jury saw the potential of the idea 🫶 Thanks to @danskefilminstruktorer @danskedramatikere @odensefilmfestival for a great event, big congrats to my fellow Super8’er @selmamunksgaard for winning first prize! And not least @christinarosendahl for your incredible guidance

Officially a screenwriter!
After two intense years (and way too many early Saturday mornings), I’ve today graduated in Script Development. Even crazier: I’ve written my very first feature film — a dream I’ve had for so long. Seeing the story take shape on the page has been surreal. Totally emotional post, but honestly, I don’t care. 🥹 Somewhere along the way, I’ve also become weirdly excited about rewriting - something I imagine will come in handy when I start developing the script further. Here’s to many more rewrites and stories born out of love. 💗

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how important nature is to me and how it often shows up in my work. Like “Nature’s Conductors”, a film project I started last year. It follows a group of kids who discover they can conduct nature by lifting their hands. But also reveals the consequences of when that control is misused.
It was nominated for the Young Director Award, and I’m now developing it with the NGO Verdens Skove (Forests of the World)🌳 After the Danish government in November announced a plan to plant one billion trees and rewild 10% of our farmland - maybe it’s a sign we’re ready to stop talking over nature and start listening. Happy Earth Day – and more about Nature’s Conductors later 🌬️

What a year 2024 has been - full of unexpected moments and twists. I’ll be honest: it hasn’t been the easiest year. There’s been doubt, rejection, personal loss, and moments when I’ve felt completely off balance - both as a director and as a person. But, as with my film productions, the same holds true for my life: it’s the people who make all the difference. This year, my film family grew in ways I didn’t expect, bringing new opportunities and friendships that came just when I needed them the most. From being on set and attending festivals to traveling to places I never imagined, it has also been a year full of inspiration, dreams, and, not least, the chance to connect with many talented, funny, and incredibly kind people. To everyone who played a part in my unpredictable 2024 story: thank you—for your trust, your energy, and for simply showing up. Whether on the dance floor or behind the camera, you’ve made what could have been a tough year one worth remembering. 💖 1. Portrait captured by the talented @lisaotto.dk 2. “Adrift” - a marathon film production 3. Finalizing my first 35 mm film 🥹✨ 4. Camerimage with the greatest international talents I know 5. Berlinale fun 6. Travels to Central Asia 7. Cannes beach party

17 years ago my grandfather told me about his experiences during the German occupation. It was a story that holds the most beautiful love declaration I’ve ever heard: How a Royal Air Force parachute first saved a pilot’s life, then was later found by my grandfather and made into my grandmother’s wedding dress. 🪂 In the fall of 2021, on the day my grandfather would have turned 100, we began shooting “Natten Er Så Stille” (“Silent Is The Night”). Since then the film has gained a bigger place in my heart. Not only does it hold the memory of my grandparents, but it was also the last thing my grandmother and I spoke about before she passed away in the spring. The film is now out on EKKO where you can watch and vote for it. ✨🙏 A huge thanks to all who have poured their energy, love, and effort into the film.
