I had No proper setup. No planned props. Just one of those moments.
I had pulled up to the 0xverse hub opening in Lagos to support @onetruehomie ā¦
then boom, I got a package.
My first instinct? I was just going to use it like that.
Nothing deep.
But better_days and @candy_l0lly were like
ānahā¦ shoot an unboxing. Show us how you do it.ā
I looked around and just laughed š
Because the setup wasnāt giving at all.
No clean background, gear sef was minimal.
I almost didnāt bother.
But instead, I just worked with what was there.
Called them, set up something quick on the spot, used just 2 lightsā¦
And thatās how I made my last video
I dropped a small BTS below so you can see how it actually came together.
Sometimes itās really not about what you haveā¦ just what you decide to do with it.

I looked aroundā¦ not the cleanest setup. Barely any gear.
But, I had this template from @samadsmett Iād been wanting to try.
So I stopped overthinking.
Built a set on the spot,
ran it with just 2 lightsā¦
ā¦and made this.

Iāve been dodging event shoots for a whileā¦ but karma finally caught me š
Todayās my close friendās creative hub opening, and of course I had to show up properly so yeah, Iām shooting the whole thing.
Now tell me why I decided to build the worldās heaviest handheld mobile rig š
I combined parts from my Ulanzi MT-59 + a magic arm + Ulanzi inflatable tube lightā¦ and yeah, it looked solid but my hands are not smiling.
Had to rethink everything. Going lighter with the invisible stick setup instead.
Lesson? Sometimes simple winsā¦ again.

And honestlyā¦ it is.
You donāt need a full setup to create cinematic visuals. Just one good light, placed intentionally, can shape everything mood, depth, even the story itself.
This reel was shot using the @ulanzi.global LM01 10W torchlight paired with an iPhone 17promax and it proves the point: simplicity, when done right, hits different.
Sometimes itās not about having more gearā¦ itās about understanding the one you have.
