3rd Annual Intersectional Earth Day Festival for Peace 🕊️
This will be a day of collective hope, joy, and action centered around a call for peace for people and the planet. 🩵
Join us for an intentional day of creativity and cultural celebration as we honor the planet with art, music, educational speakers, and fun! This event will center the principles of Intersectional Environmentalism, to highlight the interconnections between social and environmental justice, and act as a catalyst for demanding peace as we find resistance in our joy. We also find it important to elevate local history and stories to preserve the culture from which Denver stems. This event will feature Indigenous dancers leading the opening ceremony, local speakers, poets, musicians, art and food vendors, as well as educational and mutual aid resources all aimed at caring for community needs. Our disconnection from Earth stems from our disconnection with ourselves and others. Therefore, building community, especially during overwhelming times, is the best way we can actively work towards being the change we wish to see in the world and in our communities. 🌎✨
Additionally, as a part of this event we will be helping to fundraise for two families that are very much in need. One family is in Palestine and needs emergency aid for a surgery and another is in the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, one of the largest refugee camps in the world, and needs aid for a lifesaving refrigerator. Please help to uplift even if you can attend ☮️
The wait is over — our Skillshare lineup is live ✨
Join us for an afternoon of learning, creating, and being in community. From hands-on workshops to arts & crafts, there’s something for everyone.
Come for the skill, stay to support our vendors and local businesses 🤍
