Yash + Meg 🤍 Another afternoon at A Villa Gail in Yorkeys Knob, still one of my favourite places in FNQ to shoot. The light hits beautifully up there, the ocean backdrop never misses, and for a proposal setting… it’s pretty hard to top. Yash and I spent a lot of time on the phone planning this one out. He was incredibly nervous the entire lead up which honestly made the whole thing even more special 😂 Mostly about the weather, timing, and making sure everything felt perfect for Meg. Thankfully FNQ delivered for once with absolutely unreal conditions, blue skies, soft light, and the kind of afternoon you hope for when planning something this important. And of course… she said yes. Watching the nerves disappear the second he got down on one knee was such a cool moment to witness. Just the two of them, surrounded by flowers, candles, ocean views, and a whole lot of emotion. Big fan of proposals that feel personal, intimate, and actually reflect the couple, and this one absolutely did. Huge congratulations again to these two ✨ Planner: @myproposalco Stylist: @rogue.events.cairns Venue: @avillagail

Mikayla + Henco at the Sugar Wharf in Port Douglas 🤍 Soft skies, beautiful light, and one of the best views in Far North Queensland. The Sugar Wharf always has a way of slowing everything down a little, especially when the weather rolls in like this. Calm water, moody clouds sitting over the ranges, and light that somehow stays soft in every direction. These two suited the setting perfectly. Classic black tie, incredible textures through Mikayla’s dress and veil, and just a genuinely easy energy between them all day. Such a good reminder that you really don’t need much when the location already does the heavy lifting. A beautiful couple, good light, and a place like this. Hard to miss. @eventcore.com.au @flowersbywynne @portdouglascatering @pinned_hair @theivoryroombridal @tomsebastien_official @threadless_films

Maisy + Nino in Port Douglas 🤍 There’s a pedestrian crossing out the front of the marina in Port Douglas that I keep coming back to. The light hits it late afternoon in a way that just feels clean, simple, and a little bit editorial. Maisy and Nino absolutely owned it, Effortless, confident, and ridiculously well dressed… A timeless moment. The rest of the day leaned into everything that makes Port Douglas so good. St Mary’s Chapel framed by palms, soft coastal light, and then out onto the sand flats once the tide dropped. wide open space and that quiet, almost minimal feel you only really get there. No overcomplicating it, just good light, a beautiful location, and a couple who made it all look very easy. Venue: @stmarysbythesea Florist - @floraledge H & MUP: @ds_hair_and_makeup

Codie + Alex in Port Douglas 🌴 Rex Smeal Park absolutely delivered for these two. Calm tropical air, that classic Far North Queensland coastline, and a couple that looked straight out of a magazine. Codie and Alex brought such an effortless style to the day, timeless black tie, elegant florals, and that soft coastal light that Port Douglas does so well. With palm trees framing the ocean background and the sun dropping behind the mountains, the whole setting felt relaxed, romantic, unfrogettable One thing a lot of couples discuss with me is the idea that they don’t want to disappear for hours on your wedding day to get incredible photos. Many couples would rather spend that time with their guests, and that’s completely fine. Codie and Alex are a perfect example of that. We kept their portrait session short and sweet, shooting just behind where the reception was already happening. No long drives, no complicated timeline. Just a few quiet moments together with an incredible view right on their doorstep. Sometimes simple really does produce the best results. Zoe + Tyler closing out my 2025 wedding season in absolute style 🥂 Port Douglas Lakeside Retreat set the scene, but this moment, Unreal! A champagne tower waiting at the end of the aisle, not for later, but for right after the “I do.” The energy shift is instant. Guests cheering, glasses clinking, champagne flowing before everyone has even left their seats. It turns that walk back down the aisle into a full-blown celebration. And with florals by @flowersbywynne and styling by @eventcore , the whole setup looked next-level. Clean white coupe glasses stacked high, the lake behind them, that incredible property as a backdrop, and a sax player from @socialhourmusicians laying down the vibes, what an unforgettable moment! If you’re planning a Port Douglas wedding… take note. A champagne tower at the aisle exit might just be the ultimate power move. Golden sunsets, champagne sprays, and that freshly harvested cane field glow. Raine + Marley’s day was pure country magic. We took to a quiet road framed by mountain silhouettes and sugarcane rows, and the golden hour light did the rest. Effortless, joyful, and so authentically them. The kind of Far North Queensland moment that feels straight out of a movie Florals: @floraledge Hair & MUP: @ds_hair_and_makeup Catering: @portdouglascatering Celebrant: @wed_by_anna Video: @jace.films Content creator: @_eventdiaries

Grace + Jake ✨ The morning of a wedding is where the story really begins. Grace got ready in this stunning, classic space with high ceilings, soft light streaming through leadlight windows, and an atmosphere that felt timeless. Choosing a beautiful space to get ready isn’t just about convenience; it sets the tone for the entire day and creates the perfect backdrop for those intimate, fleeting moments before the ceremony. Even better when it’s just steps away from where you say “I do.” Venue: @brookleighweddings Coordinator: @justsimplyloving Videographer: @oikosstudio Florist: @the.afterhours.co Makeup: @makeupartistrybyminni Hair Stylist: @hair.by.jessie_ Catering: Prestige Catering Bar & Beverage Service: @hyrecollective DJ: @adrianwilsonmusic 's Furniture: @swanvalley_outback_weddinghire Content Creator: @projectcontent.aus Linen: @thetailoredtable Marquee, dancefloor, lighting: @marqueemagicperth

Nikita + Gregory ✨ Cottonwood Estate has quickly become one of my favourite venues; where the Australian landscape meets the ocean, framed by ghost gums and a stretch of golden beach. This one felt extra special though, with Gregory (who also happened to be one of the sparkies on our own home!) marrying the love of his life in such a breathtaking setting. A celebration filled with meaning, beauty, and the kind of coastal charm only this venue can offer.
