May is #mentalhealthawareness month and this week we are highlighting a very special resource, Love From Lydia. Created in 2023 after the sudden loss of her daughter Lydia, Danielle has dedicated herself to spreading love across the world by having others place white hearts in honor of Lydia’s memory. Since its launch, Love From Lydia has evolved to a pivotal resource center for loss parents, where Danielle has since started two virtual support groups: COPE, where parents can connect with other loss parents, and Pregnancy After Loss, where expecting mothers can connect with other moms who are pregnant after the loss of a young child.
Love From Lydia also awards scholarships to therapists so they can be trained in grief therapy, making it mor accessible for parents to locate more resources and trained therapists.
More information can be found on our website, and you can follow her Instagram directly for updates on Lydia’s hearts and information about each group @_lovefromlydia_

May is #mentalhealthawareness month and Luke’s Purpose understands the importance of available resources to grieving parents and families after the loss of a child.
Our first incredible resource we would like to highlight is the Center for HOPE facility that holds support groups for parents who have lost a child, and also children who have lost a sibling or a parent.
This group was presented to us after Luke passed and was an absolute life changing experience for us, as we were guided with love and support from the facilitator but also met a group of parents who were walking the same path we were. We quickly realized that we were not alone, and we connected with parents who felt the exact same things.
We continue to let parents know of this resource and the groups that are held throughout the year. More information can be found on lukespurpose.org.

Luke's Purpose understands the pivotal role that mental health awareness and access have in starting a healthy, healing path forward. After loss, parents struggle immensely with their mental health, often holding the mental looad of their spouse and their other children.
Luke's Purpose has connected with resources that can help families navigate the mental and emotional struggles of child loss, and all month long we will be highlighting these important connections so parents and families can have easy access to getting the help they need.
You are not alone, and you do not have to struggle alone.

Support comes in all shapes and sizes when someone is grieving. Each person and situation is different, but even the smallest gestures can make a huge difference when helping. Sitting with someone who is grieving can be the most helpful thing, listening to them share stories, or just being there in the silence. Running errands, helping with other kids, being present for months and years later can also be incredibly helpful.
If you know someone who is grieving a child, a spouse, a paren, a friend - anyone that they loved, any small gesture can help make their day a bit brighter ☀️
