I have mixed feelings about AI, as all artists probably should. But one advantage that it absolutely provides is access to new kinds of practice. To be able to *almost* fully remove the drums from a Brad Mehldau solo to practice along with is something that was simply not realistic in the past.
I believe that we should use this time to lean into our "human-ness" as players, get away from the mean when possible, and allow these new technologies to become tools to better improve ourselves.
