Selected Diary entries from 2010 to 2025. Strange to see these thoughts at their inception, knowing the shapes they eventually took. Funny to see the same battles. Inspiring to revisit old ideas with older eyes.
This work is part of WILDTYPE, a group exhibition by Tappan Collective, on view April 6–26 at Dallas Design District. The show brings together artists exploring intuition, material experimentation, and chance, with works evolving through responsive studio processes across painting, sculpture, and mixed media.

First shown in 2015 as part of my solo exhibition As It Goes at Nishi Gallery, the Trophy marked the beginning of an ongoing exploration. Each time I return to this form, small discoveries emerge, subtle shifts in material and meaning. There’s a quiet sense of nostalgia in the process, something held gently between memory and making. Today, on their 11 year anniversary, I’m releasing them once again.

Making these pieces often brings a sense of nostalgia where the process itself reconnects me with old memories. The smell of the stickers, the feel of grip tape on my fingertips. Small details that seem to unlock moments I hadn’t thought about in years.
