I spoke with the @nepalitimes last week about skiing in the mountains of Pakistan, India, China and Nepal. You can read that article here: nepalitimes.com/skier-of-the-himalaya. The link is also in my bio above. There is a huge potential for skiing here for families, recreationists, ski mountaineers and adventure lovers. If infrastructure is built, skiers will come from the SAARC countries and globally. Let’s talk. The second frame is holding the ski permit for skiing 7126m Himlung two weeks ago. We are currently here in Himlung base camp, acclimatizating and preparing to ski it. #skiing #Nepal #India #Pakistan #China

Earlier this month I spoke with Dave Roos at the @history channel about unclimbed mountains. You can read that article here: /articles/mountains-never-climbed. The link is also in my bio. #history #unclimbed #peaks #mountaineering
8163m Manaslu magic, our next climb of Manaslu starts 5 September 2026. Three climbers are joining us so that means there are a couple of spots remaining. We like small, and will continue to pursue on our expeditions in small teams. These snapshots of moments beneath Manaslu and on the mountain itself. DM or [email protected] for details. #Manaslu #skiyourdreams #climbyourdreams #Nepal
Leaning in, the first frame is Tendu Sherpa (Makalu) taking a hot lap on the practice ladders today here on Mount Everest. This is the Khumbu glacier, where the ascent begins through the Khumbu Icefall into the Western Cwm and further up onto Everest itself. The ladders are used to span crevasses that are otherwise impassable within the Khumbu Icefall itself. The other mountain images are of peaks around the valley here, and of climber Chris Lane (California), @ifmgaofficial mountain guide Pemba Rita Sherpa (Rolwaling), Palchen Bhutia (Darjeeling), and, well, me (Idaho 🐄). We are the team of five who will attempt a summit of everest in the coming weeks. @himalaya_alpine_guides #Everest
8848m Everest today, just arrived to the base of the mountain. We had a really nice puja and are now sorting our climbing equipment. We‘ll make a summit attempt here on the South side of Everest in the next two weeks, having previously acclimatized on 7126m Himlung in weeks prior.

Stay tuned to check out the peaks and faces around here, mountains where I have a lot of history and memories. The last time I was on Everest was 2011, we climbed on the North side in China‘s Tibet. It feels quite good here. Stellar weather and really positive. Swipe right to see images from the airframe today on our flight in. You may even spot 8188m Cho Oyu, 6812m Ama Dablam and 6782m Kang Tega. @himalaya_alpine_guides #Everest #Chomolungma
War Bonnet and the infinite possibilities, on this particular trip we finally visited an obscure Beckey route I’d wanted to try, and also found ourselves again on the Wolf’s Head. So fired up for this summer. 🐺 @trangoclimbing #wyoming #climbingismylife
