Something I try to practice regularly: revisiting past work with fresh eyes and an honest critique. Not out of regret, but because it's one of the more useful exercises I know.
Looking back at this one: could I have recovered the highlights in the windows? In the moment, that was an intentional call; there were elements outside we didn't want to see, and VFX wasn't on the table, so clipping was the solution. I stand by it, but I see it clearly now. Could I have introduced a practical light source on the right side of the wide shot? Yes, and honestly, I should have.
Sometimes the making of a mattress is really a story about the people who build it and the ones who'll find rest in it. That idea shaped the look: contrast-forward, grounded, a little moody. Shot entirely on location with practical sources only.

Nostalgia. What a strange thing. Just went to adult summer camp for five weeks in Montana to shoot a movie. 30+ of us literally became family. Time got so distorted we kept forgetting it was going to end. It was our reality. We were together 24/7 either working, boating, floating, grilling, chilling or partying. And then one day, poof it's over. So odd, sad and beautiful. Travel jobs are a sure way to make you question everything, mostly in a good way.
Pure magic y'all. Let's hang. I miss you. Oh yeah and Montana is, uh, very beautiful 😍
