Magneto, known as the Master of Magnetism, is one of the most complex characters in the Marvel universe. His story originates in trauma and persecution, as he survived the Holocaust as a child—an experience that deeply shaped his worldview and his relationship with humanity. From that moment on, Magneto developed the belief that mutants, as a different and marginalized group, are destined to be feared and exterminated by humans, just as other persecuted groups were in the past.
Convinced that mutants represent the next step in evolution, Magneto adopts a radical stance: the defense of his kind must be carried out by force if necessary. This ideology places him in direct opposition to Charles Xavier, who advocates for peaceful coexistence between humans and mutants. More than a simple battle between good and evil, the conflict between them reflects two opposing views on how to confront discrimination and injustice.
