an honor of a lifetime to throw a party this fun !!!! flowers hanging everywhere, a cart filled with candy to find your seat + napkins hand drawn by the little people that make my world go round. our first and favorite dance to I left my heart in San Francisco. a favorite when the giants win and now our winning anthem forever !!!!!! we ate, we sipped on spicy guava margaritas and were showered in the kindest words from family members. cup is still overflowing from each of these moments !!!! I LOVE YOU TIM!!!!!!!!!

it is hard to put into words the special that lives in reggio emilia, italy!!!!!! special rights, special people, special places, special outlooks. simple materials made special.
75 years ago Loris Malaguzzi set out to make sure that bambinos (kiddos!) were seen as capable, competent & equal parts of growing society - a city that welcomes children into public space. he opened doors to children with a range of special rights, cultures, languages, backgrounds & abilities. he built places and spaces for kiddos to grow alongside each other, alongside grownups, alongside the city. making sense of the world, together.
“you cannot know the philosophy without knowing the city itself.” teachers became co-learners and kiddos created the path. scaffolding, noticing, revisiting - adding to their learning not providing it. notices + wonders at the end!!!!!
