Each year, we open the gates to the Emerging Artist Showdown and welcome video submissions from across the province. Our Lucknow’s Music in the Fields committee carefully reviews the applications and releases the finalists for public voting! Yup, it’s up to YOU🫵 The artists with the most votes will be added to the official lineup as the side-stage openers for our festival headliners!
This annual opportunity was created in honour of our first-ever Emerging Artist Showdown winner, James Cameron❤️ Thanks to the Cameron family and their allowing of us to continue this tribute, we dedicate this contest in his memory and donate festival proceeds towards mental health organizations each season🌾

We were lucky enough to receive the Experience Ontario Grant! This funding by the Government of Ontario provides support for festivals and events connecting people with local experiences in the province!🤠
Funding like this is the reason why our non-profit festival continues being the successful and amazing Greater Music for a Greater Cause event that it is!🌾

The Lucknow & District Kinsmen Club’s grand opening of the Kin Centre was a HUGE success!🤠🎉
The Kin Centre is the largest project that this committee has ever completed in the history of their club, and thanks to the incredible team of 12 Kinsmen, along with all of the trades and businesses who smoothly operated the construction/development, this project broke ground on June 15th, 2025 and completed in less than 6 months, hosting its first Kinsmen meeting December 3rd, 2025🤯
At the grand opening, the Lucknow & District Kinsmen Club received a generous donation of $50,000 from Bruce Power, presented by Senior Strategist, Chad Richards, to go towards the Kinsmen Centre/Unique Minds Childcare❤️👶🏻
Thank you Bruce Power! Thank you Kinsmen! It’s amazing to see how love changes everything🌾❤️

The Lucknow & District Kinsmen Club is proud to announce the public grand opening of the Kin Centre, its new 9,700-sq.-ft. headquarters, on Saturday, May 9th!🤩✨
Located on the Graceland Event Grounds🌾 the facility includes the Kinsmen Hall meeting room, ample storage space, and a new centre for the recently expanded Unique Minds Child Care🍼
The partnership with Unique Minds results in licensed childcare space for up to 86 children, addressing a
significant need for local families while strengthening the long-term sustainability of the facility❤️
The building will also serve as the operational hub for LMITF and the Super Pull, while the childcare area can
be temporarily repurposed to provide comfortable accommodations for visiting performers and participants.
The building represents the largest capital project ever undertaken by the Lucknow Kinsmen and reflects years of fundraising, planning, and community support made possible through signature events such as Lucknow’s Music in the Fields (LMITF)🤠 and the Dungannon Super Pull & Demo Derby🚜💨
In addition to hosting regular Kinsmen meetings and activities, the facility will also welcome Kinette meetings and be available for use by other community organizations throughout the year!
The Grand Opening celebration will provide residents, supporters, and community partners the opportunity to tour the facility and connect with the organizations involved👀
Festivities run from 11:00AM-3:00PM, with the
official ribbon-cutting taking place at 11:30AM✂️
