Random shots from Roxoff Festival at Epic Studios (Norwich). Wish I had more time to capture meaningful moments, ended up with the most random ones instead:
1 – Waiting for the princesses in my band to get ready
2 – Poco vino :(
3 – Ooooh the stage… but rushing to load in so AAAAAAh
4 – Post-gig sweat
Playing original music isn’t the easiest thing these days, with everything going on in the world and in people’s minds. But we keep going, finding joy in the small moments and staying connected to the passion behind what we create.
At the end of the day, we grow, we adapt, and we keep showing up.
This “Cello” moment in ‘The Great Out There’ still gives me goosebumps. It’s like playing the theme of my villain era. 🖤
Here’s how I transformed my Electric violin into a cello:
- Acoustic Violin Impulse Response (by @drapsound )
- Bass Octaver
- Reverb
- Low End EQ
- @daddarioorchestral strings
- @official_line6 HX Stomp Pedal

Thank you so much @debugexpo for having me yesterday! 💜
I could finally enjoy an event like I used to do in “the old times”: by taking some time to actually play the games and speak to so many old and new friends.
And what a pleasure to play on stage! I am grateful for all the support and kindness you all gave me. It means a lot to be able to share the love for video games music and talk about our passions without feeling out of place or judged. It’s so important to have safe and inclusive spaces for creativity, I’m glad there is still people who care so much about it (as it always should be!).
It filled my heart with joy to see many friends and devs staying late for my show, even receive wholesome presents from some amazing devs! 🥹
You all are AWESOME! Thank you. 🫶🏻
The moment I raised the bow after recording this theme for the first time, I started tearing up. It’s a vision becoming true. Hope. A ray of light in the deepest darkness. It made me feel alive.
And yes, I feel the duty to share with you this wondrous violin and electric guitar theme in epic attires, because it deserves nothing less! 😆
Qisma is out for your ears (in all platforms. Even on cassette!) 🥹🫶🏻

When I moved to this country, one of my deepest dreams was to perform at UK’s biggest video games awards. Guess what, teenager me? We did it.
And I still cannot put my words together to express how grateful I am. How many years of sacrifices, jobs, nights awake (playing games and practicing, ngl) I went through before arriving to this stage.
Thank you so much @bafta for believing in our splendid ensemble @sonarisensemble , thanks @choicobo for asking me to be a part of it while imagining our vision just a few years ago, and thanks to @ameliajonesvocals , @natwillowviolin , @sarahdavisoncellist for being such amazing musicians and understanding friends. You really made it possible.
My heart is filled with joy. 💓
A small excerpt from our song ‘The Great Out There’ (and trust me, it’s small compared to the fact that just this song lasts 23:53 minutes 😆)
Have you listened to Qisma?
What’s your favorite riff so far? 🤘
