A lovely way to start the week installing our beautiful artwork in Ashby de la Zouch's children's library. They are composed with all the super paintings and drawings from our creative engagement with Ashby's primary schools and community.
Themed on the National Forest the triptych flows from dawn to day to dusk.

From start to finish this uplifting memorial project has been extremely rewarding. Working with year 6 to commemorate their classmate we co-produced the design and kept them on board every step of the way. There are lots of hidden personal touches to find and a wonderful equation the class made to keep memories alive. To make this artwork possible we reached out for generous sponsorship with the metal rolling and laser cutting, and we gave our design time freely. It will be such a wonderful inspiring legacy for the dear pupil that sadly left this world all too soon.

Working on ideas today for a new memorial sculpture and looked back at this primary school project from last year. The piece commemorates and celebrates a Year 3 pupil that sadly passed away from a rare brain tumour. It was a real privilege to work collaboratively with the child's class to bring all their wonderful ideas together for the design.
We took inspiration from the book 'The Invisible String' which shows how we are all connected to the people we love and care for. This 'string' forms a connecting path through all the elements of the special things the class wanted to have in the design to remember their friendship. We devised the shape so that two seats could be integrated to form a safe space for many stories to be told, remembered and shared.
We shared the fabrication process with the class so they could understand the design development while inputing on colours as well as the content. It has become a much loved piece of the school being used daily by pupils and staff to pause, reflect and converse.
We absolutely value the ways that collaborative creative engagement can be a game changer. It bring such rewards, ownership and of course in this case, the opportunity to be part of something to bring comfort, hope and joy.

Well, it's been a while due to a jammed pack year and we're finally finding the time to review all the projects we've worked on!
This entrance piece stands out as one of the many highlights of our recent arts project for @gmmh_nhs for North View, the new 150 bed mental health building at North Manchester Hospital.
This co-produced mixed media collage started out on one of our Silver Lining sessions at @ntcastlefieldviaduct in the heart of Manchester. We wanted to capture the spirit of Manchester, give thought to nature in the city and how important it is to take time out from the rush of urban life.
Our haiku/short prose for the artwork,
'Pause for a moment to find nature in the city: trees, birds, sky, water ...'

How lovely to be spending time outdoors today working @bham_childrens in Waterfall House courtyard. We reconfigured the suspended parts of the canopy and gave the plants some TLC and planted a few new additions. Still looking good after over a year!
The reclaimed teak looks the part dressing the face of the three big planters and the canopy creates a calming colourful (and dry!) place to sit away from the ward environment. The suspended parts move & rustle with the breeze, and the plants of course bring much needed life to the space.

Four of eight sliding door designs installed on Outpatients at Waterfall House @bham_childrens
The designs are themed from our curtain design we created for all the four units. Now each unit has it's own identity! All the designs were inspired by children's creativity, we love the power of children's imaginations.
Our print to optically clear film makes it look like the design is actually on the glass. We also created a writeable circle for staff use, a whole lot better than laminated A4 signs!
