Hugely grateful to see THE SLIP win the 2025 Kirkus Prize in Fiction. Thank you to @kirkus_reviews, and to everyone in my corner: @timothypatrickoconnell, @crsripley, everyone at @simonbooks, @greg_from_a_leg obvi, and the many writers, editors and teachers who helped me make this book the truest version of itself. A tremendous honor to be included in the company of the other fiction finalists.

In @washingtonpost, Ron Charles calls THE SLIP “a sweaty masterpiece.” After many years working on THE SLIP, it feels very special to be read this closely and this generously.“I spent most of the week not just reading this story but cheering it on in a state of unhinged excitement
 Honestly, I haven’t felt quite like this about a book since Jonathan Franzen’s THE CORRECTIONS almost 25 years ago

Stopped by @thelittlegayshop today to sign some new copies of THE SLIP and realized this Austin gem has been stocking, selling and promoting Marshall/Schaefer wares without stop since 2023! They have an impeccably curated book selection and have supplied Greg and me with about half our wardrobe (they also have the best greeting cards in town). Thanks @thelittlegayshop. Signed copies of both THE SLIP and LEG are there now; THE SLIP paperback comes out 6/23

Great crowd & great conversation (& great space!) - the Austin lit community is thriving! And big thanks to my pal @perrych for organizing, for the wonderful questions and for continuing to spread the word about THE SLIP.
