‘HEXBOX’ boxes. Flatpackable, net made from a single sheet of paper, and doesn’t require any glue. These ones made from off cuts and end of pack paper. A stacking logistical nightmare when assembled but stands out from the crowd 🙃

4 Lochs in 4 days, a book made for Josh’s birthday trip last summer. Each destination is revealed by a perforated native flower, the route told through a cutout roadmap. A tipped-in vintage postcard can be found in every ‘chapter’, a chance to record a new memory on top of an old at each point along the road. Lastly, four rubbings of the same 25-year old tree stump are spread throughout the book, revealed in full at the end pages. Hand-punched and hand bound. I gave this to Josh inside a car in a heavy rainstorm, couldn’t have been more Scottish 🩵🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A 2025 Calendar / book I designed at the end of last year for @jordancore4 ‘s Bird Watching photographs. The pages are folded in half to function as a book, or pulled down to reveal each calendar month. Pages are perforated twice; once to tear off the dates only (eg. if a particularly pigeon is favoured for more than one month); a second perforation to remove each image entirely (for repurposing…?) Calendar is hung by two Binocular shaped holes. Mega fun to design, thanks @jordancore4 for getting me involved and trusting me with it. A huge thank you also to @generationpress for helping make all my silly ideas not only function but come to life. Documentation by @joshcroll_ who else! —————— #calendar #2025 #design #graphicdesign

Black Friday been and gone again 🥵 References from the essay ‘ Sustainable Design by Any Other Name’ in picture form. Taking up 1/3 of the books pages, full-bleed image spreads with large centred page numbers emphasise the significance of source images in the composition of this piece of text. Crazy scenes from Black Friday, cyber Monday, and general archaic shopping fanatics takes up a good chunk.

A few years ago I created a physical copy of my dissertation, as a way to display the research process that felt almost more important to me than the writing itself, as it formed the foundation of the text. Alongside the full dissertation, the book displays academic research texts in a way that mimics the chaos of my mid-essay-desktop, and is followed by an image log that captures the significant roots of the process.

punched/bound/laboured over Postage stamps are micro-representations of movements in art and design and vehicles of insight into socioeconomic histories. Referencing my family’s Dutch stamp archive, this book displays my observations of the key features and legacies of Dutch design. Elements from the stamps have been extracted and reinterpreted together across French folded pages, in which the original stamp sits. The book’s dimensions are the ratio of a common Dutch stamp. One third of the pages are screenprinted in silver, another third hand-perforated.
