My name is Luis Torres
I’ll be assisting Kledia Spiro with creating videos documenting her process for her solo show “Karamele Candy” in NYC at The Bellslip Gallery. The show is about preserving culture and mapping memory. Through a multi-sensorial assemblage of scent, virtual reality, responsive sound garments, and an original Albanian house/EDM soundscape, Spiro’s work maps perception and memory through body, culture, language, and space
I have known Kledia ever since my sophomore year of college. Not only did I learn more about Adobe After Effects but I was also exposed to her mesmerizing work. This sparked not only curiosity but also a passion for videography. Going to her class lead to me wanting to improve my skills in video editing and story telling.
I cant wait for everyone else to see what Kledia Spiro has in store for you on September 5th. See you there!
