During the first lockdown back in April I was lucky enough to be "stuck" in the same house with a photographer! We tried to make use of the time we had and one of the outcomes was the photoshoot "Terra."
I know that I am biased, seeing as I was the one being photographed, but the quality of these photos really is incredible: the way the light hits all the dust flowing around the room and how the texture of the mud changes the drier it gets.

Last week would have been your 40th birthday. We couldn’t celebrate it together because you are no longer here. But your life, which to me is an inspiration, will always be celebrated - a life you lived authentically and unapologetically to the fullest.
And it is this life that I will always celebrate: every ridden wave, every training hour, your yoga performances, your multiple ‘Lu, I forgot!’, all the brigadeiros and general overeating, your laughter and silly faces, every video game, all the innovative ideas that you went after and saw through, your trips and adventures, your generosity, joy, caring, your light - which illuminated the lives of all the people you touched.
I love you so much. What an honour and a joy to be your sister and to have been a part of your life.

About a week ago I ran my very first marathon! ✨
I really enjoyed the experience of running through the streets of Vienna, and the weather was pretty perfect for a longer run: sunny and rather chilly (the day before it rained almost all day long, and it even hailed for a bit, so luck was on our side!).
Some of my highlights include:
☀️one of the opening songs from my block was Can’t Hold Us from Macklemore!
☀️getting a message from my family in Brazil on the big screen (you can see my reaction on the second photo!)
☀️all the beautiful people that came out to cheer, even trying to read my name off the race bib (and being of course overwhelmed by my two names and more often than not saying “go, Luzia!“)
☀️the funny signs everywhere - I definitely powered up by a mushroom a good 7 times!
☀️the live music throughout the day
☀️a little boy holding his hand out for a high five, who then, as I was about to high five him, removed his hand and ran his fingers through his hair instead, having the time of his life leaving me hanging
☀️having awesome friends cheering me on multiple times during the race
☀️having Glorious by Mackemore play once I crossed the finish line after 5 hours and 44 minutes of running
☀️having two dinners and cake afterwards
☀️walking (or rather trying to walk) down the steps at the train station after a 2,5-hour journey home
My final conclusion? It was pretty cool, would do it again, highly recommend 🙃

One week ago I participated in the Salzburg trail running festival! 🏃🏽♀️

I ran the Gaisberg trail, which was 23.8 km - and I managed to do it under the time limit of 5 hours!
.
This was my first ever trail run, not to mention that I had never ran more than 10km before! My body and mind definitely pulled me through!
.
It was a challenging experience that definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone - and it was so incredible too!
.
Thank you @felix_brandstetter for somehow making me believe I could do this!
