“The Space In Between” – Final post from this series. Creating this body of work has been a deeply rewarding experience. Along the way, I’ve drawn inspiration from artists such as Hannah Starkey (@maureenpaley ), Mohamed Bourouissa (@mohamedbourouissa ), Jeff Wall (@whitecube / @mariangoodmangallery ) and Philip-Lorca diCorcia (@davidzwirner ) whose work have inspired and influenced certain elements of the project. I feel quietly fulfilled by what has come together. These images hold true to the ideas and themes that first sparked the project, and they reflect a more defined personal language within my practice. Approaching the process with intention allowed me to explore something subtle, to give form to what often feels intangible. “The Space In Between” has become a meaningful chapter for me; it feels like the most honest expression of my work to date. It captures something I’ve long been trying to give shape to and marks the point where my intentions and execution have felt most aligned. At its heart, it’s about self-expression, and a hope that something within it resonates with others. Thank you for being part of this journey <3

"The Spaces In Between" – In these images, people share space but not connection. Side by side, yet adrift, they move through moments without truly meeting. Averted gazes, silent pauses, and subtle gestures reveal an emotional distance that physical closeness can’t bridge. They occupy the same frame, but not the same moment. Each figure seems lost in thought, they’re seen together, but feel alone. These quiet scenes capture the tension between presence and absence, where the act of observation itself becomes part of the disconnect. This is the distance we carry, even when we’re near.

"The Spaces In Between" - In these images, ordinary acts unfold in spaces that feel too grand for their stillness. The contrast is dreamlike, where nothing quite fits, yet everything feels familiar. Loneliness lingers in subtle ways: a gaze, a pause, a figure lost in thought. These moments, often overlooked, carry a quiet intimacy. Subjects exist in public, yet seem emotionally elsewhere; adrift in transit zones, caught between presence and absence. The spaces feel both vast and confined, real and unreal, tangible and distant, like memories half remembered. The story never fully forms, only fragments remain, like echoes of memories, passing dreams and scattered and disjointed moments. In the stillness, meaning emerges from the mundane Together but alone. Seen but distant. These are the moments in between.

"The Spaces In Between" - These images explore moments of connection, disconnection, and everything in between. Figures share space but not always a story—each absorbed in their own world, hinting at multiple narratives unfolding at once. Some seem to belong together, others feel out of place. The tension invites questions; meaning lives within the gaps, and uncertainty leaves room for interpretation. Light, shadow, mirrors, and glances suggest unseen presences, stories beyond the frame. With no clear or linear narrative, fragments drift like memories and blur like dreams.

"The Space In Between" explores the emotional weight of memories, dreams, and the quiet moments of daily life. This work isn't about recalling specific events or memories but instead about what remains from these; an instinctive reflex, a flicker of recognition from distant parts of us. It favours focusing on the emotions left behind rather than the accuracies and intricacies of memories themselves. Residues, fragments leave us with feelings without form, moments blurred by time. What remains is not truth, but a resemblance of feeling, a closeness to what once was.

"The Spaces In Between", 2024 - This project explores themes of memory, nostalgia, and dreams. It speaks to the mundane and banal moments of daily life that we often overlook, but are full of meaning. Line-Teta Blémont addresses the complexity of her memories, and the inextricable links between memories to dreams. The photographer seeks to express something intangible by staging scenes in which participants become actors. She aims to convey the emotional connection she has with the idea behind each photograph.
