Today in church, I had the privilege of teaching on the topic: "Define Your Relationship." We delved into how it is God's will for us to be intentional with our connections, exploring the true purpose of a healthy relationship and the practical pointers that keep us on the right track. I particularly stressed that a healthy relationship is built on Agreement and that the core components of that agreement are Proposal and Consent—a scriptural principle we see clearly in Genesis 24:48-49 and 57-58. ​What was originally scheduled as a one-hour session spiralled into nearly two hours of deep conversation & teaching simply because the engagement was so high! 😅 Thankfully, the pastorate approved the extension, seeing the passion and enthusiasm from the youth. It was truly inspiring to witness their willingness to share their experiences and ask the heavy questions they’ve been carrying for a long time. ​Today was incredibly fulfilling for me—not just because I had the opportunity to teach, but because I saw God move. I watched Him provide clarity and wisdom to His people, and I know many went home with a renewed perspective on their lives and relationships. ​It was an amazing time in God's presence. GRAND FINALE RELATIONSHIP RESET: CAMPUS (FUTA Edition )😭🔥 On Day 4, we started talking about entering a relationship intentionally. ​I told them plainly: You cannot pour new wine into an old wine skin. You cannot build a healthy, purposeful relationship while holding onto an unintentional version of yourself. ​The old you ignored red flags because you were hungry for attention. The old you stayed where you weren’t chosen. The old you said "yes" when your spirit was screaming "no." ​But the new you? The new you has Standards! ​I made it clear that standards aren’t pride; they are self-respect. They are the minimum requirements for access to your life. ​We broke down the difference between Preferences (I like them tall, I like them fine) and Standards (You must respect me, you must be emotionally accountable). ​If you keep negotiating your non-negotiables, you aren't confused, you’re simply afraid. But, awareness is power. Getting aware of this is how you get a hold of it. ​Entering a relationship intentionally means: ✅ Valuing clarity over desperation. ✅ Assessing emotional availability (yours and theirs). ✅ Comparing direction, not just chemistry. ✅ Realising that if it’s not built on shared values, it’s just emotional entertainment. ​And, i ended on a harsh but honest truth: You cannot demand from someone what you haven't developed in yourself.📌📌 Healthy commitment isn’t just about finding “the one”; it’s about becoming someone ready for "the one." RELATIONSHIP RESET: CAMPUS — FUTA Edition (Day 3)! 🤍 Day 3 was eye-opening and deep📌😅 Not surface-level deep. The kind that makes you pause and rethink your patterns. We talked about discernment, and intentional decision-making in relationships. One by one, we broke down attraction vs compatibility. Chemistry vs alignment. Potential vs patterns. And of course, God’s role and biblical wisdom when it comes to choosing right. Because, many young people have been choosing based on vibes and hoping maturity and growth will show up later. We also talked about the red flags we see but rename. And we clearly understood the difference between FLAWS, RED FLAGS & DEAL BREAKERS. A very necessary distinction this generation needs. Slowly, clarity started settling in. You could literally see on their faces. You could see those uncomfortable but necessary realisations on the faces of the participants. It was a fulfilling moment.
