After publishing “Assets in Apartheid” last year we are back with in another deep dive into LSE’s investment portfolio and found:
‼️ LSE invests £73 million ‼️ in companies involved in crimes against the Palestinian people including:
- 🔴 £10,4 million in companies profiting from the Gaza genocide
- 🔴 investments in 5 companies on the UN list of comapnies involved in illegal settlememt activities
- 🔴 £17,7 million in companies suplying the Israeli imilitary
Our research revealed that LSE stake in global harms including crimes against the Palestinian people, the global arms trade, and cliamte breakdown have increased by tens of millions of pounds since we conducted our analysis last year. We demand not another penny, not another dime, LSE divest this time!! The full ‘Stakes in Settler Colonialism” report is available here https://lsepalestine.github.io/documents/LSESUPALESTINE-Stakes-in-Settler-Colonialism-2025-Web.pdf
Ever wondered why LSE has no interest in divesting? 🧐
LSE’s highest governing body - the Council which will decide whether LSE divests - is mostly made up of external members with little connection to the uni. At least six of LSE extenal Council members hold roles in companies involved in or with close proximity to crimes against the Palestinian people and other human rights violations. These ties raise serious concerns about Council’s role in decisions on investments linked to the oppression of the Palestinian people. 89% of the student body voted in favour of LSE divesting. Council must listen to the students and staff who make up our uni!!
Divest and cut all ties to companies involved in Israel’s genocide, apartheid, and settler colonialism NOW ✂️‼️
(Data from LSE Council Register of Interests 2024/2025)
No time to read the ‘Assets in Apartheid’ report? No worries! We’ve made a little stop-motion breaking down LSE investments in Israeli apartheid step-by-step. (pls still read the full report tho) :) #lsedivest
Merge The Movements! ➡️➡️🚨
Racist thug Tommy Robinson has called another ‘unite the kingdom’ march on Saturday 16th March - the day commemorating the 78th anniversary of the Nakba, when Zionist militias (under British imperial auspices) ethnically cleansed hundreds of thousands of indigenous Palestinians from their lands. This is no coincidence.
We will be assembling an LSE bloc to join this important demo, which merges both Palestinian solidarity and anti racist student movements in Britain, at a time when both state-endorsed racism and attacks on rights of free assembly are on the rise.
📅 Saturday 16th May
🕥 11:30am
📍Victoria & Albert Museum, Henry Cole Wing, SW7 2PA (student bloc meeting point)
See you there!
Join us for an interactive General Meeting on student repression and what this means for organizing with SJP🇵🇸✊
We’ll discuss the recent Al Jazeera x Liberty Investigates article findings on how LSE is 1/12 British universities that have paid a private security firm to spy on students. We’ll also talk about what SJP has done this year (diving into our streams of work and ongoing campaign to Kick BP out of LSE) and what we do to keep each other safe!!

78 years since the Nakba. 945 days into the genocide. We mark the catastrophe in which Palestinians were forced out of their land, ethnically cleansed, and genocided to honour our martyrs. But the Nakba never ended; the ethnic cleansing, continuous bombing, and targeting of Palestinians by the zionist entity remains still ongoing.
Join us Saturday to demand an immediate end to this horrific genocide and an end to the siege on Gaza.
We, the students, will continue to hold our institutions accountable. We will continue the struggle for Palestinian liberation.
“The time to act has always been now. The time for students to act has always been now.”
The next generation of LSE graduates deserve to know that LSE invests MILLIONS in egregious companies keeping the genocide machine running.
BP alone fuels up to 1/3rd of the zionist entity’s crude oil used in its genocide against the Palestinian people and LSE’s more than £2 million investment in BP makes OUR INSTITUTION financially complicit.
The majority of students demand divestment, and we will not be silenced! 🗣
Congratulations to all the #LSEOfferHolders, the students united shall never be defeated! 👏
