National Volunteer Month may be over, but volunteering with LPCS is a year-round opportunity! Between assisting staff at the front desk, making and serving a delicious meal, and sharing your knowledge, volunteers make a difference in the lives of our Guests, like recent Graduate Kherrington, on a daily basis. Learn more about volunteering at the link in bio!

Continuing our celebration of National Volunteer Month, we want to recognize dedicated supporter Jane Bachmann! Jane was first introduced to LPCS in 2018 through her church, St. Michael’s in Old Town, when she heard about the Sedgwick location being built. Since then, she has remained a steady and kind presence in the community. She regularly volunteers by serving meals and supporting day-to-day needs around the shelter, including the massive organization of donations. Last year, she even planted flowers outside of 1521 N Sedgwick. When asked why she continues to come back, her answer is simple: the community is warm, and the mission matters.
