Got back home at midnight last night from my third tour in Europe this year. Performing Low Volts shows and then hopping on bass with @thepicturebooks has been an epic challenge for the mind, body and soul - and I wouldnโt trade it for the world! We played in Hamburg at St Pauli Soccer Stadium, a hella old church in Belgium, and the Bielefeld Forum for Picturebooks End of Year Show. @fynngrabke & @clausgrabke have taught me so much about putting on the best show possible for the fans, road wisdom, European history and language, vegan cuisine, and endless tour inside jokes. We even tracked a new Low Volts song and I canโt wait for yโall to hear how Claus Grabke is producing it! Iโll be decompressing on the couch for a spell, that is for sure. Crazy long day, the kind that looks easy in photos but is anything but.
Weeks of prepโฆ compressed into one very last-minute, very on-brand sprint ๐ โก๏ธ (ADHD efficiency, I guess).
Tim flew in from San Diego this morning โ SD โ Seattle โ Frankfurt โ straight on a train โ basically into the studio. No jet lag, just plug in and go.
We set everything up, did a quick run-through, everything locked in smooth. The invisible work that makes the show feel effortless later on.
